Q: What makes you so special?
A: We're glad you asked! We are proud to be a one-stop referral agency for green cleaning service providers; including housekeeping, carpet cleaning, and tile and grout cleaning.
Second, we are an environmentally friendly company all-around! Your housekeeper will strictly use non-toxic, eco-friendly cleaning products - for you, for your housekeeper and for the world we live in. We do everything we can in our office and in your home to minimize waste and maximize the convenience of green living.
Our company only works with experienced and professional independent housekeepers, not employees looking for a temporary job. All housekeepers are screened to ensure they are legally authorized to work in the United States, and have passed thorough background and reference checks.
We are also a socially responsible company, supporting the fundraising efforts of local philanthropic organizations whenever possible!
Q: Should I tip my housekeeper?
A: Gratuity is accepted and appreciated, but never expected. We ask that gratuity be left as cash for your housekeeper(s) - we cannot accept it included in checks or credit card payments. For those who choose to tip, a common amount is 10-15% of your total cleaning fee.
Q: What is done on each visit?
A: Every client's needs are different, so your housekeeper will work from your priority list, not from a predetermined checklist. This way, you get exactly what you are looking for!
Q: Do the housekeepers bring their own supplies?
A: Your housekeeper can provide all green products and supplies necessary, as most clients prefer. However, if you would like to provide any products or supplies, by all means let your housekeeper know! Most housekeepers are happy to accommodate (typically the exception is if you request they use a highly toxic product.)
Q: How far ahead of time should I call to schedule?
A: If you have a particular day in mind, it's best to call around two weeks in advance. Typically, Thursdays and Fridays book up first, so if you have your heart set on one of these two days, the sooner the better! Of course, we will always do our best to accommodate when we can.
Q: Can I have the same housekeeper on a regular basis?
A: This is the beauty of a referral agency - you can develop a mutually beneficial working relationship with your housekeeper. If she is not available for any reason, our office will notify you to reschedule or arrange for a substitute housekeeper to fill in.
Q: What about damaged items or theft?
A: For your protection, all housekeepers undergo thorough background and reference checks. In addition to this, we have a Theft Protection Plan that pays up to $3,000 per incident upon conviction. Your housekeeper is responsible for all damages as a result of her actions.
Q: How do I give feedback to Pure?
A: That's an easy one! We love feedback, so definitely send it along to:

Q: Do we have to be home when someone cleans?
A: This is up to you. You can let the housekeeper in and show her how to let herself out, you can give our office a key beforehand, you can make our office a copy of your key to keep on file, or you can stay at home. Most people are not home while the housekeeper is there.
Q: We have pets, is that okay?
A: Pets are great, and hopefully they think cleaning providers are great as well! While your cleaning provider is probably accustomed to working around them, you know your pet better than we do. If they tend to get anxious around strangers it is best to keep them in an enclosed area until they accept your provider.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, check or credit card payments! Cash and check payments are due at completion of service, credit card payments are processed within two business days and a receipt is emailed to you. Select automatic billing for regular service and have one less thing to think about!
Q: Do you sell gift certificates?
A: We sure do! Simply note that you are interested in purchasing a gift certificate on our Estimate Request Form, or let us know over the phone. We require a credit card authorization form on file for the giftor, and will mail the certificate to you via standard U.S. mail (please account for this lead time). We can also email you an e-certificate for those last-minute gifts! To redeem a gift certificate, call or email us and we'll take care of you!
Q: What if need to reschedule or cancel my cleaning?
A: If you need to reschedule or cancel your regular cleaning appointment, we appreciate at least two business days' notice. If two business days' notice is not given there is a $30 Late Cancellation fee (who wants that? Cancel on time!) This will be charged to the credit card on file and you will be emailed a receipt. If we show up on your doorstep ready to work and are locked out or otherwise forgotten about, we charge a $70 Lockout Fee. We reserve the right to charge an hourly rate for the next visit if you reschedule or cancel your normal cleaning day.
Q: What is a referral agency?
A: A Domestic Referral Agency is a business that refers housekeepers and carpet cleaners to private residences. The workers they refer are not their employees, but independent cleaning providers. By operating under this business model, the Domestic Referral Agency offers the domestic worker the freedom to operate independently, while passing the financial savings to the consumer. The result: an independent domestic worker who is empowered to control his/her working environment, schedule and income, and a consumer that has the choice of a more cost-effective way to enjoy green housecleaning!
Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.purecleaningagency.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site, We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website;
1. See what data we have about you, if any.
2. Change/correct any data we have about you.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way, you can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
